How Good is Being Bad, The Ultimate Kontrabida

How Good is Being Bad, The Ultimate Kontrabida

Raised eyebrows, chin up, straight body. How can you forget that face. Every time I see her in a film, or a scene, I keep thinking, ” Oh-uh, this is not good.. ”

I remember my mom has a “bipolar” feelings about Ms. Bella Flores. She likes her as a villain (kontrabida) and she dislikes her when she’s gone bad.. really bad.

May 19, 2013, a villain passed away. Heroes may have been more than happy, but not today.

Known as Bella Flores, she started acting as antagonist on most films, hated by most, and gave life and twist to Philippine cinemas.

Nobody can be so good at being bad.

Unfortunately, even a villain is fighting her own villain. She’s been battling diabetes, heart disease and Alzheimer’s.

I myself would give a bow to the most memorable faces and icons of the Philippine cinema wherein without her, Cinderella won’t have a step-mom, witches may have been good, and life wouldn’t have a downfall then be happy ever after…

The tough. The gay. The butt exposure. Bromance

Zanjoe Marudo and Zanjoe Marudo

Glorietta cinema’s quiet as we walk along to buy our tickets. This is the time I really enjoyed having less crowd and fantastic company. Diverting from an English-only environment at the office to the mall, my friend and I really enjoyed watching OPF (Original Pilipino Films).

The trailer’s worth catching and we want to know how was it delivered. Another of Wenn Deramas’ film kept me laughing.

A story of twin brothers who never had the opportunity to get along and know each other. One went prodigal due to misunderstanding, pride and selfishness. After eight long years, the prodigal son returns bearing the responsibility to pretend to be the brother he hated. This is due to an accident that happened and to save his brother’s business.
One of the twists was performed by Christine Reyes who happens to be Zanjoe’s ex girlfriend and the gay-Zanjoe’s best friend.
Aside from Zanjoe’s butt exposure, the presence of Ai-ai de las Alas, Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz and Joy Viado graced the film.
A must see hilarious movie if you’re looking for a simple laugh trip.

Now, I Dare to Dream and Make It Happen

Let me share you a video about dreaming.

I myself was challenged. I myself was confined in my own comfort zone. My personal vision may have been too clear with the people pushing me to stand up and go farther but my fear of failure and lack of confidence put me a little too way behind.

One thing I want to qoute is:
The Way To Achieve Your Goals is To Dream of What You Want. To Put An Expiration Date To Your Dream. And Then Work To Achieved It.
Let go of naivety and timidness, I’m going for it.

Birthday Wishes, Shakeys and Coke

Hello, my name is JD Security Fraud..

Ansabe? JD? JD Who?

Meet the new member of our team, JD. One of the people who’s so madaldal from the “Mga bata sa asinan” celebrated his “how many decades and a year” birthday at the 4th floor pantry with friends and team mates.

With the mummies.. ahm, mommies.. Mother’s day celebration courtesy of JD.

With the single ladies..

And the team.. (not that complete though)

With sponsors..

Coca cola, Shakeys and what’s the name of that cake again that everyone’s going gaga over with?

Kidding aside, I did some research and to top it, JD was described as one of a friend who’s really nice and sweet.

Aaaw.. Happy Birthday Dan..

Over-eat, Over-fed, Over-buffet, Over-cooked Eat All You Can at Tong Yang

Tong Yang is a Chinese for winter sun which marks the longest night and shortest day of the year.

Located at Jupiter street Makati, the restaurant is not a place you want to miss. Chinese buffet at its best. This is a place where soup and grill meet.

 Or fry. Watchamacallit.

A place where it does not need a chef to satisfy one’s craving.

Crabs and shrimps are not available from the buffet table but you need to ask the attendant to serve you one.

Sushi for appetizer and several choices of shabu shabu, noodles, dips, and desserts. Most are displayed without any label. You would need to ask which is which from the attendant like I know what I am dumping inside my tummy.

Lighting maybe a little bit poor and too dim for lunch and air-conditioning  needs to be a little bit colder. Seems to be stocked on a certain temperature that one still needs a fan to feel comfortable.

Prices may vary depending on the day and time you visit the resto.

All in all, we’ve got a happy tummy.

And our friend got a….
